Deeply Cultivating the Binhai Optoelectronics Foundation, Forging New Momentum for the Laser Industry Through Internal and External Synergy

The optoelectronics industry is an emerging track that underpins high-end equipment, new energy, and advanced processing, and diode lasers, high-power fiber lasers, and ultrafast lasers are its key core components. China's laser industry is currently accelerating its transition toward full-chain self-reliance and controllability, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, leveraging the complementary strengths of its scientific and technological innovation resources, is speeding up a graduated layout spanning R&D, pilot testing, and industrialization. With its mature and advanced manufacturing infrastructure, well-developed industrial support, and advantages in opening up to the outside world, the Binhai New Area has become a key host location for the commercialization of laser industry achievements, the clustering of leading enterprises, and the coordinated development of upstream and downstream players nationwide. Since settling in the Binhai New Area in 2016, our company has fully leveraged the regional innovation ecosystem of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei to build a vertically integrated laser manufacturing base, continuously enhancing full-chain R&D and production capabilities, and has become a core backbone enterprise of Binhai's advanced optoelectronics manufacturing cluster.

Deeply integrating into Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation resources to help frontier technologies take root in Binhai.

The Binhai New Area is an important host location for commercializing achievements of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei international science and innovation center, and it is also the core foundation for Haipulin's continued rooted development. We have laid out a full-chain innovation system based in the Binhai New Area, coordinating and integrating innovation resources across the entire Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and opening up the complete pathway from frontier technology breakthroughs and sample validation to pilot-scale scale-up and large-scale mass production. At the same time, we have jointly developed frontier laser projects with local universities such as Tianjin University, carrying out joint efforts on semiconductor coupling processes and thermal management systems, and building a closed loop of regional collaborative innovation and Binhai-based industrialization. Supported by the Binhai New Area's policies for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation consortia and through university-enterprise collaboration, we have successively achieved breakthroughs in key technologies such as kilowatt-class blue semiconductor lasers and 10 kW-class and above (ultra-)high-power fiber light sources. A number of products have filled domestic gaps and broken overseas monopolies. The world's first 150 kW and 200 kW industrial fiber lasers rolled off the line at the Binhai base and are used in new energy equipment welding, thick-plate cutting for shipbuilding, and aerospace precision processing.

Actively bringing in resources from leading enterprises to strengthen Binhai's manufacturing foundation through industry chain integration.

The key to doing the "bringing in" work well is to bring in capital, platforms, and upstream and downstream supporting enterprises to improve the local industrial ecosystem. We work closely with Lenovo's zero-carbon smart manufacturing factory to jointly build a full-process automated production line solution, achieving automation across feeding, packaging, inspection, and warehousing. At the same time, we collaborate with high-end equipment enterprises within the Binhai New Area to form a sound pattern of "local leaders supporting each other and the industry chain collaborating nearby." The New Area's well-developed supporting systems for optoelectronics, precision processing, hazardous waste and environmental treatment, and cold chain and water cooling substantially reduce enterprises' supply chain costs and shorten new product delivery cycles, creating strong appeal for outside industrial capital. In 2026, home appliance giant Hisense made a strategic entry and established Hyperline, injecting a group-wide reserve of intelligent manufacturing technology into the company while introducing global market channels and a zero-carbon smart manufacturing management system, enabling all-round empowerment in talent, technology, innovation, market, and management, and providing comprehensive support in strategy implementation and financial operations.

Fully activating local Binhai resources and building a solid development foundation with a quality business environment.

The foundation of industrial collaboration lies in the supply of regional resources, and the Binhai New Area has tailored full-chain element guarantees for high-end laser manufacturing enterprises. In terms of space, contiguous standardized cleanroom factory buildings in the bonded zone meet the stringent production requirements of chip packaging and optical testing. In terms of government services, support policies for high-tech enterprises are implemented to help companies keep increasing R&D investment; leveraging the international logistics advantages of Tianjin Port, laser products reach overseas subsidiaries around the world quickly, and facilitated import and export customs clearance greatly enhances competitiveness in overseas markets. In terms of talent, we work with local colleges and universities to cultivate optical and precision manufacturing skilled talent in a targeted manner, supported by policies on talent household registration and housing subsidies, resolving the difficulty of attracting and developing high-end optoelectronics talent.

Driven by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, Hyperline will continue to make good use of its threefold resource advantages — innovation resources across Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the introduction of leading industries, and local industrial support — deepen its focus on the three core tracks of diode lasers, fiber lasers, and ultrafast lasers, keep expanding intelligent production lines, and work with upstream and downstream partners to build a Binhai laser industry cluster, making "Made in Tianjin" proprietary lasers shine even brighter.
